San Francisco creative agency HEAT has launched its eagerly awaited follow-up to last year's Madden Season music video with EA Sports and the new work takes the form of an action-packed movie trailer based on a fictitious film for the latest release.
Once again fronted by Dave Franco, this time the actor appears alongside Christopher-Mintz Plasse, as he prepares to go head-to-head on the big screen with his Madden rival. But not before Franco assembles a trusty team to help him to victory, which is the jist of the story, and the trailer is brimming with over-the-top antics that keep the competitive spirit alive. The film over-the-top antics are directed by Wayne McClammy via Hungry Man.
Read our interview with EA's vice president, global creative team, Dana Marineau, for more about the agency's relationship with the gaming company and the strategy behind this year's creative.
