London-based animation studio Blue Zoo has released the latest in their series of experimental animated films with this crazy and colourful short.
Directed, designed, edited and with sound design by Joe Kinch, the short saw 30 Blue Zoo animators collaborate on a cadavre exquis animation, each contributing a short section of the spot, with no idea what had come before or what would come after in the sequence of events.
Once the animators had created their segments of the film; the lighting and 3D rendering artists were let loose on a section - resulting in two layers of unrestricted creativity on each frame.
Blue Zoo creates three to four experimental shorts a year with everyone in the company given an opportunity to pitch a treatment, and the favourite then voted into production.
