London-based agency Forward Media, part of Havas Media Group, has appointed Tony Mattson as its head of strategy. Mattson joins the agency following a 10-year stint at UM London where he served most recently as managing partner, strategy. In his new role he will report into the agency’s MD, Ed Cox. Mattson will be charged with leading strategy on the O2 account and growing the agency’s strategic capabilities by instilling data and content into the planning process. He will also be responsible for thought leadership and boosting Forward’s profile in the industry.
