On Saturday 19 March, the most iconic global landmarks will switch off their lights as the world celebrates the 10th annual demonstration for Earth Hour.
Shutting down at 8.30pm local time, the event will once again bring to light concerns about climate action and for the first time supporters are invited to get involved through social media by giving up their timelines on the day via a social donation app developed with MediaMonks. Users will also be able to add a custom-made Earth Hour filter to their profile pictures on Facebook and Twitter to show they care.
In a video created by iris and Firecracker Films, an elderly woman voiced by a young girl looks back over her lifetime on all the improvements mankind has made to the world before finally arriving in the present day and explaining what you can do to make it a reality - donate your social feed for Earth Hour.
