Under Armour has launched the latest instalment of its Rule Yourself campaign with two new spots - one featuring Manchester United's Dutch winger, Memphis Depay, and another starring the USA women's gymnastics team.
The two ads were unveiled at a launch event in East London on Tuesday night where Memphis appeared and spoke about his involvement in the campaign, answering questions on his training regime and experience so far in English football.
A third spot, fronted by Michael Phelps, will launch in March and the ads are designed to highlight the time, effort and training that goes into being a successful athlete come game day under the line 'what you do in the dark that will put you in the light'.
Last year, the brand launched an initial Rule Yourself spot (above) featuring pro golfer Jordan Spieth, MVP basketball star Stephen Curry and ballerina Misty Copeland, which saw the athletes split into clones of themselves to highlight how much they train to become the best they can be when it comes to the crunch.
The three new films were created in partnership with Droga5 and honour the commitment to the 24/7 grind that each personality endures in order to succeed when their moment in the spotlight comes.
Subscribers to shots can read an interview with Under Armour's SVP, global brand marketing, Adrienne Lofton, on the new work and the brand's wider outlook to follow.
