John Smith. It's not the most inspiring of names, is it?
Well for any one else born with a normal first name, DDB New Zeland encourages you to look past its limitations.
In this minute-long spot for McDonald's, director Adam Stevens follows the journey that a young John Smith goes on as he grows up and has to accept his seemingly average name.
Despite his efforts to be wacky and to stand out, he continually blends into the background - until one day, his efforts are noticed by someone (a pretty girl as it happens...).
So, if you've been lumbered with a boring name, say thanks to McDonald's, who have introduced a new service that encourages customers to be different and create their own DIY burgers.
