Asif Kapadia and Jason Solomons on straight 8 jury
Star-studded jury announced for straight 8 2016.
We announced earlier this month that straight 8, the film competition that challenges people to make a short film on one cartridge of Kodak Super 8mm cine film with no retakes, no editing and no post-production, is returning following a three-year hiatus.
Now the competition has announced a line-up of high-profile judges for this year’s completion. That line-up includes three-time BAFTA winning director, writer and producer Asif Kapadia (Senna, Amy); double Oscar-nominated director of photography Ed Lachman (Carol, Far From Heaven); Channel 4’s Random Acts commissioning editor, Pegah Farahmand; Altitude Film Distribution’s head of distribution Hamish Moseley and, chairing the jury, film critic and author, Jason Solomons.
