Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam has launched its first work for Milka since winning the account in March which includes two beautiful looking spots for the brand's chocolate bar and biscuit products.

The first, The Strongman, follows a young boy to the circus as he hopes to see his favourite muscle man, Gustavus, perform and becomes inspired after witnessing his brilliance in person. However, aiming to emulate his hero's standards on the high striker, his strength falls short which leads to a chance encounter with the two over a bar of the chocolate which helps them to bond.

The second spot (below) is a charming piece for Milka Biscuits that sees a young girl enter a cookie jar shop to buy her grandfather a gift. With animated effects and various characters coming to life, she chooses one who looks exactly like her elderly relative and surprises him with it back at home much to his delight.

The campaign marks the first time the key products have shared positioning on a single platform, the idea that 'tenderness is inside', and refocusses the brand essence in Europe, EEMEA & LATAM. Both ads are directed by Vesa Manninen via Hobby Film.
