Heimat Berlin is back with its latest offering for long-time client, HORNBACH, and the ad is an entertaining watch that soaks up the great outdoors.
Directed by Partizan's Tom Noakes, the spot sees a man throw himself off a cliff before following his downward tumble to communicate the range of emotions felt when doing DIY. The brand's spring campaign is hung on the line 'You're Alive. Do You Remember?' and was impressively shot almost 100 per cent in camera after a week-long set build.
Thomas Schnaitmann, head of marketing Germany and international marketing communications at Hornbach says of the dramatic concept: “Creating something with one’s own hands is a unique feeling that every DIY’er knows. This is the time of the year when all those projects around the house and garden that need to be done invite people to touch, feel and experience.”
“This is what the spa effect of a comprehensive, HORNBACH-style spring project may feel like, a place beyond the increasing urbanisation and digitisation of our world,” adds Guido Heffels, creative director at Heimat.
