303 MullenLowe Perth’s campaign for the Road Safety Commission (Western Australia) targets the plight of licence losers condemned to vexing lifts with mother.

For lousy-driving larrikins who are more afraid of spending time in confined spaces with parents than facing death or mutilation in a car smash, here’s a series of witty ads outlining the grim reality of losing your driving licence for a spell, following a speeding or drink-driving charge.

Nate is condemned to more than 90 days of passenger seat hell with his Mum, compromising his independence, social life and, most importantly his cool. Here’s another taste of Nate’s nerves being shredded…

Beautifully acted and elegantly directed by Tony Rogers (director of cult US TV comedy Wilfred), the 12 spots will play out over 12 weeks to give young viewers the experience of a real-time licence suspension period. There will be passenger seat social posts from narked Nate, as well as the TV, cinema, radio and outdoor campaign.
