Following their popular campaign where people could have words of their choice on Nutella jars, Ogilvy Italy created Nutella Unica, a campaign where seven million jars were produced, each with a totally unique pattern.
These patterns were made out of a combination of dozens of patterns and thousands of colour combinations, with the pattern on each jar determined by an algorithm and the label then given a unique ID code to authenticate its uniqueness.
Much like the agency's previous Nutella work, the results with hugely popular, with a seven million selling out in a month.
This was achieved in part with an online campaign that continued the idea of unique design, with people given the chance to 'to create a customized video to celebrate someone unique' according to an Ogilvy spokesperson.
