Samsung #DoWhatYouCant: Ostrich; The New Normal
I think these Samsung spots are excellent. Ostrich is an impressive blend of humour, next-level CGI, music and sound design. Really great storytelling. The New Normal however has stuck in my mind. The scope and humanity shown in the spot is a hopeful glimpse into an idealised technological future. It’s a forward thinking, inspirational daydream.

On the more comedic end of the spectrum, Spotify’s recent series of artists discussing bizarre playlists that contain their music is great. Clean, solid execution with a dry sense of absurdity.
FraudNY Insurance Fraud Destroys Families
A PR effort from The New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud (NYAAIF). It makes me question what I thought I knew about craft and messaging. If the measure of an ad’s impact is how it stays with you, then there hasn’t been a spot I’ve thought about more lately.
