WPP brings together two of its digital brands as innovation agency Rockfish joins with VML to unite what a spokesperson calls "the strengths of highly recognized lead agency VML with the extensive history of innovation and ecommerce at Rockfish."
Rockfish, which had previously partnered with VML on work for brands including Colgate-Palmolive and Ford, will add its 3,000 employees in 33 locations join VML, with Rockfish CEO Michael Stich and their president/CSO Dawn Maire joining the VML executive leadership team.
WPP CEO Sir Martin Sorrell said of the merger, "with Rockfish becoming part of VML, the enlarged VML becomes an even more comprehensive offer covering the entire consumer journey. It aligns two of WPP’s best performing and most accomplished agencies to create a highly relevant offering to lead clients through an increasingly complex and fragmented marketing environment.”
