No7: The Wave
There's plenty of stunning SFX in this dramatic spot out of Mother London - but refreshingly, no retouching of the model.

Four-time World Champion surfer Lisa Andersen fronts this dramatic new campaign for No7 out of Mother London.
Rattling Stick's Daniel Kleinman directed the SFX-heavy spot, which conveys the beauty brand's age-defying ethos through shots of the 49-year-old Andersen scaling a huge, frozen, Hokusai-like wave, board in tow. When she reaches the peak, it transforms into liquid, and she triumphantly rides the wave out.
As a metaphor for the struggles women face every day, the message is about as subtle as a sledgehammer, but MPC's stunning VFX, juxtaposed with Andersen's natural beauty (No7 makes a point of not retouching its models), makes for a refreshing change to the category.
