New York-based editing house Uppercut has partnered with bicoastal visual effects studio ZERO.
By working together, the two shops will be able to bolster their services and offer post-production services across editorial, animation, CG and VFX in New York City, Los Angeles and Boston. Uppercut owner/editor Micah Scarpelli and EP Kathrin Lausch will lead the bi-coastal offices with ZERO founder Brian Drewes and senior producer Meg Bailey.
All staffers across the two companies will gain access to all three studio locations and their resources, to help them meet the increasing demands from clients.
“Partnering with like-minded companies that are working at the same level that we are allows us to have a greater stake in the creative vision,” says Scarpelli.
Uppercut previously only had offices in Manhattan, having opened there in 2015, while ZERO has presence in Boston and LA.
