This imaginative, independently produced short was written and directed by Australian filmmaker Stefan Hunt and profiles the musings of a slothful slob whose lacklustre life is turned around by a visit from Death.

Adapted from Hunt’s eponymous illustrated book, the film opens with a typical slacker underachieving in front of a TV – that's ironically tuned to the Adventure Channel – when a knock at the door reveals that Death (voiced by Hugo Weaving, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings) has come to call and wants to know how he is going to live the rest of his life.

As this sets him pondering how to proceed, his musings and visualisations of his various life choices are conveyed by a rhyming narration and fantastical, beautifully realised animations – think T.S. Eliot’s The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock meets Wayne’s World directed by Michel Gondry.

Eventually he discovers the answer to "the secret of leading a radical life” – one must bear in mind we’re all going to die.

Along with the book, the film is part of a multimedia project that uses death and art to empower its audience to fear less and live more. "Years ago I was crippled by fear. Reminding myself that I'm going to die has changed my approach to life. It's the most powerful force to live by." says Hunt, who independently funded the project alongside a successful Kickstarter campaign.
