Stink Rising Puts Spotlight on New Talent
Stink Films has launched a curated platform to develop new talent across the globe.
Stink Rising, a new arm of Stink Films, has been created to represent exceptional and unusual filmmakers and artists; those people who are already making exciting work and getting noticed, but who still have room to grow.
Be they music videos directors or artists, photographers or short films makers, Stink Rising has set itself the remit to dedicate time and energy to mentoring rising talent, connecting them to agencies and brands, as well as developing original content with them.
“Stink Rising launches with 10 filmmakers from around the world who we believe, given the right support and exposure, will be leading creativity in advertising and entertainment in years to come," said Blake Powell, Stink's global head of talent. "This roster shines a spotlight on the emerging talent we’re most excited about and everyone needs to see now. We’d like to think we’ve set the bar pretty high.”
"This roster truly represents the global scope and taste of Stink Films."
“Every filmmaker on the Rising roster has been chosen for their unique voice and style”, added Katie Lambert, EP of music and Stink Rising. “I’m so proud to have such diverse work represented, ranging across continents and formats. From Berlinale awarded pieces, through YDA awards, Vimeo staff picks and all the way to the most talked about young director of Brazil, this roster truly represents the global scope and taste of Stink Films."
The first 10 names on the Stink Rising roster are;
Douglas Bernardt; Felix Brady; Geej Ower; Jared Hogan; Judith Veenendaal; Kenneth Karlstad’s; Matthew Thorne; Noël Loozen; Sherif Alabede and Stella Corradi and you can find out more about them and see their work at the company's website.
