Nothing brings a community together like sports, but the townspeople of Amazon Prime Video’s latest spot may have taken the cricket spirit a step too far…

As the new home of ICC World Cup Cricket in Australia, Prime Video is kicking off its campaign for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with this fun spot, created by Leo Burnett, and featuring Aussie cricket superstar Usman Khawaja.

Comedically directed by Ariel Martin through Scoundrel, the film plays on zombie-movie horror tropes, following Khawaja as he watches in horror as men, women and children throughout his neighbourhood making synchronised cricket-themed movements with a sinister glare in their eyes. On arriving home, he finds his TV playing the ICC's Men's T20 World Cup and succumbs to the fever himself.
