'boards magazine Ceases Publication

Boards_thumb'boards magazine, the TV commercial production trade publication founded in 1999 by Brunico Communications, has ceased publication immediately. The trade magazine sent out an email earlier today to subscribers, thanking its readers and advertisers for their support and citing the rapidly changing state of the global production business as one of the causes for its demise.

"Major long-term trends over the past several years have forced our clients to re-evaluate their business models and the recent global economic turmoil has simply accelerated that need," the email read in part. "This process will take many years to unfold but, ultimately, this business will thrive once again in a new form by harnessing the sheer creative force from which it was born."

The publication recently canceled its upcoming Boulder Digital Works conference and workshop, which was scheduled to take place in San Francisco on May 24 and 25.

No information was available about the closure of the publication on its web site, www.boardsmag.com.
