Commenting on Bindler’s work Chelsea L.A. Partner Allison Amon says, “I remember seeing his documentary, ‘Hands on a Hard Body,’ in theaters, and I’ve been tracking his work ever since.” In subsequent years, Bindler worked in advertising and on his own projects. In 2008, he wrote and directed “Surfer Dude,” starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. “Robb’s comedic chops and eye for natural detail are a perfect addition to the Chelsea roster,” adds Chelsea New York partner Lisa Mehling. Evers, the newly named Head of Production, is a veteran producer based in Los Angeles who has worked on countless projects in all formats for some of the most awarded directors and studio producers in the world. Her list of collaborators includes Joe Pytka, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Michael Bay, Kathryn Bigelow, Olivier Gondry, Dante Ariola, Jerry Bruckheimer, Doug Liman and Malcolm Venville, to name a few. Says Amon, “I’m thrilled to have Leslie working at Chelsea. Her attitude and experience are a perfect fit for our company.” ![]() Leslie Evers is the new Head of Production at Chelsea.
Roederer, an independent sales representative, has signed Chelsea and its new division, Pulse@Chelsea, to her roster and will be handling all East Coast sales. Her other clients include Lair and Union Editorial. Says Mehling about the new relationship, “I feel very fortunate to have Denise working with us. Her creative opinion and ability to collaborate with clients has made her a highly respected and universally adored member of the industry.” The director rosters of Chelsea, Pulse and Lair mesh nicely with Blate’s roster at Union Editorial, and include some already-established working partnerships, like Union’s Sloane Klevin and Chelsea’s Alex Gibney.
