Created by M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment, this innovative campaign, Recycled Records, launches with an original EP made up of noises harvested at bottle recycling plants and a short film narrated by MC Lyte.

Directed by Andre Bato, the film draws parallels between the re-use of materials and music as it follows Madlib and Mark Ronson as they recycle the sounds of recycling itself to create original tracks for the EP.

The campaign celebrates Sprite, Fresca and Seagram’s transition from green to more sustainable clear packaging and also offers budding music makers the ability to re-mix the same sounds the celebrity producers used via access to a sound library and an interactive digital beat machine found at the microsite cokeurl.com/greentoclear.

Mark Ronson comments: “Sampling is an artform that is constantly regenerating. The tiniest sound, whether from an old record or from the world around us, can inspire an entire piece of music. I learnt from my heroes, DJ Premier and Q-Tip, who all made incredible albums from sampling, and it’s stayed an integral part of my work up until today.”
