Crossroads UK  Signs Darren Lamb for Digital Content

Crossroads, UK newly named Head of Digital Darren Lamb.

Crossroads Films, UK has announced Darren Lamb as their new Head of Digital Content.  He brings a background that combines an in-depth knowledge of broadcast from producing shows for BBC1, ITV1 and C4. He' also created on-line video content for major brands such as Dove, Mercedes-Benz and Sainsbury's.

Lamb's career has seen him write and produce for Chris Evans, Richard & Judy, Sir Terry Wogan and Johnny Vegas, among others. He's also donned the "News Bunny" costume for Live TV and has written weather reports for a trampolining midget.

Crossroads' Digital department recently produced a series of web films for L'Oreal's "Expert" campaign, directed by Russell Bates.

"I'm excited about turning brands into broadcasters, and I think this is where a large part of digital content will head," says Lamb.  "Brands and agencies have woken up to the power and economical savings that digital offers, as we find more and more devices such as iPads, smart phones and interactive outdoor becoming an everyday part of our lives. As a result, the opportunity to engage, entertain and ultimately influence consumer habits will fall more and more at the door of digital content creatives and creators. I want Crossroads and our directors to be the top of any list when agencies are considering who they should entrust with their next video content containing campaign."
