Director Kurt Mattila Joins Supply&Demand For Commercial Rep
Kurt Mattila received a Student Academy Award and has directed campaigns for clients including BMW, Red Bull and Ford etc.

The Rhode Island School of Design graduate is the recipient of a Student Academy Award, and has created compelling campaigns for clients including BMW, Ford and Red Bull. Longer format work includes the Summit Entertainment feature ?Lies and Alibis? as well as documentary work such as ?Art in Video Games? for the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Mattila entered the business as Founding Member / Partner of Imaginary Forces where work on a bevy of feature film sequences included the dream sequences for ?Minority Report,? a hypnotic blur of expressionistic moments that successfully foreshadow the genesis of future crimes. Matilla is currently recreating the same sequences for the ?Minority Report? pilot currently being made for Fox and Dreamworks. ?
Design and editing duties led to Mattila forming Prologue Pictures with Alexander Dervin, producing live-action projects on narrative, documentary and spot work. Recent commercials includes ?Blake Griffin? for Red Bull, a revealing portrait of one of basketball?s most exciting players, up close and personal with the NBA star as he flies gracefully around the court.
?Zombies? for Ford also demonstrates Mattila?s aptitude for carving out compelling short form storytelling, while fascinating doc work unveils on BMW?s ?Wherever You Want to Go,? captivating material that examines the future of man?s mobility featuring interviews with famous figures including visual futurist Syd Mead and astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

Most recently, Mattila completed a live-action teaser to launch Syfy's new series "Ascension," designing and developing the creative look for the series including its retro-stylized, iconic space ship that we encounter 51 years into its 100-year journey through space.
