Composer Timo Elliston Makes Music with Bang

Composer and pianist, Timo Elliston, joins New York City-based BANG where he is currently working on two television series in addition to the company's spot work.
Raised in a musical family, Elliston is a classically-trained musician who studied with his father, Ron Elliston, pianist and Professor of Music at the University of Maryland. The younger Elliston began playing in clubs at age 14 and continues to be a fixture in New York City's jazz scene today. He has toured Southern and Eastern Africa with his own trio, arranged and performed music with the New York City Ballet and performed with jazz legends Charles Davis and Valery Ponomarev.
Elliston has also composed scores for dozens of national spots and has created music for shows on Discovery Channel, VH1, TLC and Fine Living. He also composed the score for Tribeca Film Festival winner "The Shovel."
According to BANG Partner and Composer Brian Jones, "Timo brings a unique and prodigious musical talent to our collective. He's a brilliant collaborator with the ability to make even simple ideas truly special."
Jones and Elliston are currently scoring two Fall shows for NatGeo. Additionally, Timo has also composed all the music for Bang's work on Disney and Marvel apps including Spider-man, The Jungle Book, Bambi, Mo Willems' "Don't Let the Pigeon Run This App," Avengers, Hulk and Toy Story.
Elliston lives with his wife and twin toddlers in Brooklyn.
