Circumnavigating the tricky issue that holiday planning during a pandemic is an inexact science, this clever campaign created by Team One urges consumers stuck inside to get excited about planning future trips outside.
Giving a new dimension to the phrase diving into bed, the film Stop Motion. Start Traveling visualises a couple who use their apartment’s fixtures and fittings to create fantastical trips and adventures. The coffee table and mugs turn into a convertible car that whisks them along a coastal highway. A pile of linens becomes a mountain offering beautiful vistas. A broom transforms into a diving board that launches into a pool made of bed sheets and finally, there is always hotel room service to enjoy.
An homage to imagination in the Covid era, the production also reflects the ingenuity of today’s geographically and socially distanced ways of working. The team found a stop motion director Victor Haegelin through social media, collaborated remotely with him and the production company in France, with Expedia clients in Seattle, Brazil and London, and agency teams in Los Angeles and London.
