Fresh Film and Courtney Dixon wear beekeeper suits for Dove

There’s not limits to what you have to do on a shoot, freezing temperatures and wearing beekeeper suits was fully embraced by Director Courtney Dixon and Fresh Film to create the latest work for Dove Amazonia.

Using Dixon’s documentary background, painterly palette and natural understanding of how to express what it means to be human was used to full effect in the films. The result is two sensitive insights into some unique women and the worlds they inhabit.  

Beekeeper was filmed in Savannah, Georgia with CEO and beekeeper Sade Shofidiya of @beenevolentapp. The intimate camerawork required everyone  in the crew to wear bee suits on set which looked brilliant (and nuts!). And were so popular half were kept and half donated to Shofidiya’s company. 

Paddleboard despite appearances was filmed on a blindingly cold, 20 degree day in the middle of a lake. Where our rockstar yoga instructor ignored the temp, pretended it was sunny and practiced a full yoga routine for us on her stand up paddle-board without fall.
