Unsurprisingly for a film that essentially acts as an ode to photography, The Right Moment looks absolutely stunning.

With direction from Gambit and DogsCanFly's Felipe Blankenheim and delicious composition from DP Jacki Moonves, Jeep Brazil's film tells an elegant story of a photographer finding a connection with a wolf.

Commenting on the film's glorious b/w aesthetic, Blankenheim states: “We wanted to emulate the look of actual film photography, and so Jacki [cinematographer Jacki Moonves] and I studied classic photographers like Elliot Erwitt, Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Silk, Edward Weston, and Sebastião Salgado to create our look.

"We filmed using LUTS that we created in Resolve based on a Kodak Tri-X 400 emulator and went from there. On the final grade, we opted for a dense look, slightly underexposed and with heavy grain.”

The result is an engaging and striking piece that captures the magical alchemy of planning and spontaneity that lies behind the very best photography.
