You might have thought that with Old Town Road, his billboard-topping super-hit, Lil Nas X was pretty much unavoidable. Well, that's nothing compared to the cyber-stalking version of the star we see in the music video for his latest track, Panini.
Set in the future, the music video opens with a disillusioned fan, Panini (played by Disney Channel star Skai Jackson), gazing into a holographic city-scape brimming with Lil Nas X advertisements. Pursuing her through the cyber-city, showing up in holographic advertisements, hacking her devices, and even dropping in on her levitating Uber, Nas is relentless in the chase.
Brought to vivid life by Lord Danger's Mike Diva, this cheeky testament to the dynamic between celebrity and fans, conceptualised by the artist himself, is a fun look at what a Nas-filled future would look like.
