English-Nigerian artist Lil Simz unveils this entrancing and symbolic promo for her track Flood, helmed by PRETTYBIRD director Salomon Ligthelm.
In a series of dark, highly-stylised vignettes, the music video showcases Simz, Obongjayar and Sanelly in ritualistic, energetically charged performances; a ‘meditation on materialism and its role in shaping culture’.
Brought to life through exquisite costumes and atmospheric sets, the impactful black-and-white visuals seamlessly blend contemporary life with dark, dream-like symbolism and distinctive cultural references.
