Nico + Martin Land at Little Minx for US Representation

The multi-talented team of Nico + Martin has signed with Little Minx in the US for TV commercial and digital content representation. This is their first tine being represented in the market.
The move caps a big year for the duo, whose has been honored with a Cannes Grand Prix in Outdoor, multiple Lions and a Gold Clio. Nico + Martin, also known as Nicolas Perez Veiga and Martin Kalina, are the 28-year-old filmmakers from Buenos Aires behind Andes “Teletransporter,” via Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi B.A. The integrated campaign features a soundproof booth installed in bars and nightclubs around Mendoza that furnishes bar-hopping Andes beer lovers with a quiet place to call in alibis to aggravated girlfriends.
“We arrived at Little Minx at the right moment of our career,” say the pair. “We’re getting access to the more interesting projects in Argentina, and that makes our reel more competitive internationally. We’re eager to start competing for good projects with the best agencies in the U.S. Rhea [Scott] is someone who has a very interesting vision of this business and, above all, the development of directors.”
“Nico + Martin are great comedy directors, first and foremost,” says Scott, Little Minx President. “But to limit them to comedy is a disservice. There is a freshness and versatility across all their work, making them a perfect fit for Little Minx. As filmmakers, Nico + Martin’s strengths range from a savvy-ness with VFX to an ability to evoke candid, witty performances from actors. No easy feat. We’re thrilled to be working with them.”
Nico + Martin graduated with film degrees from Universidad Del Cine Buenos Aires in 2000. Since then, they’ve collaborated with some of Buenos Aires’ most esteemed agencies: Ponce, on Axe and Rexona; BBDO, on Sprite; and Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, not only on Andes beer but also Cadbury, for which “The Check” won Bronze in Cannes as well.
Nico + Martin are both traditional narrative storytellers and adept content developers—Andes “Teletransporter” included product development, a web film (amassing six million hits on YouTube), a case study and TV spots, which increased brand preference for Andes 10 points.
Just as Nico + Martin are nimble at working cross platform, they are versatile directing for different genres. Their MTV “Fans” and “Swimming Pool” are outrageously funny, while “The Burden” for Casa Do Menor confronts child abuse in a way that is clever and dramatic.
The duo is repped in Argentina by Primo Buenos Aires.
