This subtle but almost unbearably moving film, We Are Life-Changing Careers, directed by Molly Burdett, through Spindle, is the latest in MullenLowe Group UK's five-year 'We Are the NHS' recruitment campaign.
One of two films, Ashton’s Story highlights the human side of nursing, demonstrating the impact nurses can have on individual patients and those around them. It was dramatically brought to life through the use of the patient's own social media posts and footage recorded by family members during their time in hospital and recovery.
Angles, lighting and props were all matched to the original social media content to create seamless video that depicts the impact made by the nurses.
The recruitment drive has driven a significant rise in nursing applications – from 85,240 in 2019 to 117,285 in 2022.
