With AI technologies being on the mind of nearly everyone in the entertainment industries, not to mention being a sticking point for last year's strikes, it's only fitting that the best of this April's filmic pranks was on the subject.
Created by Alpen Pictures comedy duo Nick & Charles, best known for Funny or Die and Adult Swim hilarities like Don Cheadle is Captain Planet, HUVR Tech, and Cold Dead Hand with Jim Carrey, KEEPLE.AI takes the ongoing digital debate to its (un)natural conclusion - the resurrection of famous faces from beyond the grave.
Starring Nick as the CEO and featuring virtual visions of James Gandolfini, The Queen, and John Lennon, the film takes a deliciously dark turn as we're given glimpses of the avatars' existence.
“We tried to take AI to its inevitable final form to prove a hilarious point," explain the pair. "Sadly people think the company’s real and AI Teddy Roosevelt just booked an insurance ad.”
