Let's get something out of the way from the start - any spot soundtracked by Paul Engemann's Scarface (Push It to the Limit) is automatically going to grab our attention.

Thankfully, Renault's latest from Publicis Conseil not only delivers on the retro style of its soundtrack, it actively parodies the perceived styles of the times.

Taking its cues from the 70s, 80s and 90s, when the car was seen as a weapon of seduction, power and absolute cool, the spot winks at those who coveted the R19 cabriolet, the R17, the R25 Baccara and the R21 2L Turbo, whilst slyly introducing its future-facing Captur E-Tech.

Smartly directed by Soldats' Rodrigo Saavedra, who manages to evoke an era in a matter of seconds, this fun period flyby will have you rocking.
