Set apart from similar sporting ads by fantastic lighting and a compelling soundtrack, this latest Impossible is Nothing spot, created by LA agency Cartwright, features Atlanta Hawks’ player Trae Young.
Promoting the launch of his signature shoe, the Trae Young 1, the cinematic ad was directed by Anthony Mandler, who used three different cameras to capture a wide range of moves and moods.
The film opens with our hero landing a flawless shot as the voiceover reveals his many record-breaking achievements. “There are 450 million hoopers out there, under a million make varsity… only 1.3% of college players get drafted to the NBA…”
Not only did he beat the odds to get drafted, he then became the first player in history with a 48 point, 11 assist game in the conference finals, and the first to wear shorts to the draft!
The film's thrilling score was composed by Max Schad.
