Partnering With TBWAParis, SNCF Lets Nature Express Itself To Thank Those Who Take The Train Each Day
SNCF launches campaign inspired by one of their fundamental purposes: ‘‘to offer everyone the freedom to easily move around while preserving the planet.”
Trains give off 30 times less CO2 than individual cars and 20 times less than planes. Based on this fact, TBWAParis created a campaign for SNCF with a simple message: taking the train means being a responsible citizen and doing something for the benefit of the planet.
The campaign places the passenger at the heart of the message by acknowledging and thanking them, highlighting that “each day, 5 million of you choose the train which means 5 million tonnes less of CO2 in the environment.”
The film showcases the successive blooming of a multitude of flowers; a time lapse of over 200 hours of intricate and peaceful footage of nature at it’s most beautiful.
The shoot saw 5 images taken of each flower every 5 seconds, day and night. Overall, 14,000 images were taken per flower and recreated into a time lapse, with over 50 varieties of flowers included.
The final film, produced by EDDY and directed by Caravan Prod, will be aired on TV in a 30’’ version and in several 15’’ versions online. A 45’’ version will air in cinemas.
This is the first time SNCF has spoken out about a theme in which they are particularly involved with, highlighting that trains are the most ecological mode of public transportation. For a number of years, the SNCF Group for has been developing sustainable transport solutions accessible to everyone.
Committed to transitioning from diesel-powered rail to developing stations that are autonomously powered by 2035, the SNCP is fighting against the individual use of cars and aims to meet the expectation of people around the world: to being responsible for our planet.
