Passport Films has signed Marieli Froehlich for exclusive US Representation.  Froehlich comes from a bohemian family of artists, writers, musicians, film directors and developed a passion for film in early childhood.  Having attended the Lycée Francais, she moved to Paris and became an actress.  She then moved to New York where she got involved in avant-garde cinema and studied photography, where she produced her first photo diaries. Upon her return to Europe, Froehlich started her career in commercial film directing. The second campaign of spots she directed for Gloria Hair Care won the Young Director award in Cannes.

Froehlich's work ranges from babies/toddlers to lifestyle/fashion to highly stylized, artistic fashion. Patti Coulter, Partner/Executive Producer at Passport Films, notes, "In her baby/toddler work, Marieli is able to capture the real moments; the unexpected moments-Kids being Kids.  She never wavers from genuine storytelling."

Her work has won several Art Directors Club Awards; others were shortlisted at Cannes, Clio, New York, London, Montreux, and Hollywood Advertising Film Festivals. Froehlich has won several Effies, the Cannes National Award and a Mobius Award.  Marieli has directed spots for clients such as Haagen Dazs, Magnum, Manner, H&M, Nivea, Muller, Viactiv, Nestle, Lipton, Pampers, C&A Fashion, Audi and Toyota. She also worked on short films for charity and fashion designers.  While continuing to focus on her international commercial directing career Froehlich is currently working on her first feature film and preparing for an exhibition of her photography.
