Paul Iannacchino Jr's short shows the Wisconsin Badgers will jump again
Narrated by Norman Gilliland of NPR, the Raucous director's film is both melancholy and hopeful.
September 4th, 2020 is the day the University of Wisconsin Badgers were set to begin their NCAA Football season.
That game, the Big 10 season and the rest of Fall Sports have long since been cancelled or postponed indefinitely.
This short film is a quarantine passion project for Raucous Content director Paul Iannacchino that came together mostly to scratch a creative itch during the long, quiet months of lockdown, distance learning and the seemingly never ending flood of bad news.

Narrated by Norman Gilliland of NPR, the film is both melancholy and hopeful. The read treats the lyrics from House of Pain’s Jump Around like classic American literature. The visuals take the viewer through the Wisconsin countryside, gliding over cornfields, rivers and family farms - ultimately floating over an empty Camp Randall Stadium at dawn.
Paul said about the inspiration of the project, “I walked through the campus daily to clear my head. The sights and sounds of a completely empty Madison gave me the idea to celebrate the famous 3rd quarter tradition through the lens of Covid-19 and the campus, a ghost town”.
