Pearl Jam’s doodles shimmy and sway
Superblood Wolfmoon, despite the song’s name, is a delightful, upbeat music video featuring handdrawn illustrations of the band rocking along.

Featuring sketchy drawings and graphite characters, Superblood Wolfmoon, the latest from Pearl Jam, is a charming handcrafted throwback.
We love a good animated music video, and Pearl Jam’s film for Superblood Wolfmoon is absolutely adorable. The figures appear like collegiate marginalia, headbanging and drum solos all around. The style is reminiscent of the early nineties when Pearl Jam first started making music, and it’s effective and delightful. There are photos of a lo-fi moon, with words and expressive squiggles scratched out.
The style is appealing, coming from McCann’s Keith Ross, going under the stylized Tiny Concert. They bounce and bop and create a fascinating low-budget feel that captures the attention throughout the film.
