Da-da-da-daaaaaa. Da-da-da-daaaaaa – when Ludwig van Beethoven penned his Symphony No.5 sometime between 1804 and 1808, little did he know how enduring those bars would be.
This engaging film, directed by Lallie Doyle, through Radical Media, repurposes Ludwig’s rousing riff with a man performing interesting arm dancing as he goes about his morning routine listening to the Proms.
It promotes tomorrow’s launch of the Prom’s summer of live top classical tunes performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall and other UK venues. Ending with the famous Last Night of the Proms on 10 September.
Nearly every Prom is broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and streamed on BBC Sounds, and 22 of the 80 concerts are broadcast on BBC TV and iPlayer.
