Marqet is a new chain of stores which focusses on fashion and design for modern work life, and its first campaign is based on the new concept 'work in progress'.
The campaign centres on feelings of pointlessness and stress that can surround many modern workplaces, leaning on research which shows that 74% of people want a more meaningful job. In the spot, co-created by Happy F&B Gothenburg and the in-house team at Marqet, and directed by Bleck's Marcus Svanberg, a team of people are working on a project entitled 'The Next Shit', over which they slave and worry. Once completed though, their boss simply lands another project on them called 'The Next Next Shit', and it starts all over.
”We wanted to capture a feeling a lot of us sometimes have towards our jobs," says Marketing Director Mikael Kruse. "Don’t we all stress too much about stuff that doesn’t really matter to the world?” "The idea pretty much comes from our own lives," adds creative Johan Holmström. "I have often had a lot of anxiety while trying to find the perfect turd, and it will most likely happen again.”
