Shooters, Inc. Launches ShootersNYC
Former BOND Founder and CD Jeff Beckerman has been tapped to lead a new division of the Philly-based company as Managing Director and EP.

Shooters, Inc., the Philadelphia, PA-based production and post house, has announced the launch of ShootersNYC. Former BOND Edit Founder/Creative Director Jeff Beckerman will lead the new division as its Managing Director/Executive Producer. Shooters, Inc. specializes in editorial, visual effects, graphic design, finishing and audio post for advertising, television, feature film and new media projects,
While ShootersNYC will house its own creative staff, it will also offer clients the ability to tap into the deep talent pool and technological infrastructure of the company's Philadelphia home base: a combination of boutique creative atmosphere coupled with the capabilities of a large post facility.
"We're excited about being in New York,'' says Ray Carballada, Shooters' President. "Our unique structure and success in advertising, TV development and feature films is proving to be a major asset in our ability to work for networks, agencies and brands."
According to Beckerman, who led BOND for 17 years until it's closing in August 2010, the decision to join Shooters was an easy one given how closely aligned his creative and business philosophy is with Carballada's. "Ray and I met a few times over the years, and we've always shared similar views on the importance of being able to offer clients an array of talent and services packaged in creative ways,'' Beckerman comments. "When this opportunity presented itself I jumped at the chance to be a part of it. Once the New York advertising and broadcast community gets a chance to experience firsthand Shooters' talent and capabilities, they'll see that it's an amazing company. Their experience and depth of understanding in the post and visual effects arenas is incredible. Plus, the Shooters team has a fun and energetic vibe that I know clients will respond to positively."
ShootersNYC is currently in the process of putting together its creative team, and is housed in a temporary space in Manhattan's SoHo district while it builds out its permanent space.
In addition to numerous short-form projects (advertising, network branding and promotion, etc), Shooters has built its credentials in the feature film world through DIVE, its visual effects and film finishing division, led by Mark Forker, formerly of Digital Domain. Recent credits include work on the films ''Let Me In,'' ''The Last Airbender,'' ''The Road'' and ''Fair Game,'' to name a few. The company has also successfully developed television programming with three reality TV shows currently airing on the Food Network, including the hit ''Dinner Impossible.''
For Anne-Marie Starker, Shooters' Director of Sales, the greatest challenge to launching the New York office was finding someone of Beckerman's experience to lead it. "This is something we've been talking about for a while, and after meeting Jeff it just seemed like the perfect fit,'' she says. "His talent and knowledge of the market was what we were looking for. There aren't a lot of companies like ours, and I'm excited to show the New York creative community all that we can do.''
