Global creative studio Stink Studios announced the addition of Zane Miller, most recently from Mother New York, as Creative Director, and Dani Balenson, most recently of Intercom, as Design Director, to its Brooklyn office.

Both hires are a testament to Stink’s commitment to bringing the most creative, design-focused and tech-savvy ideas to life for clients.

“Zane is one of those rare creatives who has big brand experience, but also has a desire to move fluidly between digital and above-the-line in a more modern and nimble way,” said Mark Pytlik, CEO of Stink Studios. “And Dani is an extremely talented design leader with a keen aesthetic eye who understands that the why is every bit as important as the what. We’re incredibly excited to see what both of them do in the context of our more executionally-focused culture.”

With roles spanning production, copywriting and creative direction, Miller brings over eight years of experience in the creative industry. In addition to Mother, Miller served at Translation and TBWA\Media Arts Lab, working with Apple, Stella Artois, Netflix and JW Marriott.

“I'm excited to work with the nimble and multi-talented makers that this place attracts,” Miller said. “It's amazing to be surrounded by people with such a diverse range of talents and an intense ability to learn and pick up new skills on the fly as we're making more stuff more quickly. This place feels like it's built for the future of whatever we call this industry now.”

Balenson is a celebrated designer who has worked with brands and media companies across San Francisco, Baltimore and New York. In addition to her time at Intercom, she has also worked as a Designer for Vox Media and Established NYC, and as a freelancer. She is also an advocate for mental health awareness and has been profiled by esteemed design publications including Interface Lovers, 99U and AIGA Eye on Design.

“The way that Stink seamlessly weaves together strategy, creativity and technology with more traditional design concepts is something that really excites me,” said Balenson. “They’re doing some incredible work, and I’m excited to jump in and help the team continue bringing creative, design-inspired ideas to life.”

Miller and Balenson’s hires are already in effect, and they will both be working across Stink Studios’ existing clients and projects.
