In the run-up to the International Day for Non-Violence in Education, on 30 April, the StopVEO association, Enfance sans violences, and Publicis Conseil has launched their fourth campaign to raise awareness of violence against children.
The hero film, titled The Legacy, directed by Cole Webley and produced pro bono by BIG Productions, tells the story of the inherited casual violence that is unconsciously passed down the generations – often disguised under the guise of education, for the so-called benefit of the children.
The vicious trait in the men of this family is manifested as a physical characteristic – the metaphorical heavy hand. The film follows one man's internal struggle between what he has endured and what he will choose to pass on when he becomes a father himself.
