the community Launches New Spanish-Language Spot For Verizon Unlimited
Thomas Middleditch, Verizon’s spokesperson of HBO’s “Silicon Valley fame,” swoops in alongside Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Mendez.
Cross-cultural creative agency the community has launched a new spot for Verizon Unlimited that highlights the brand message of how having the right mobile network can make all the difference in the midst of meaningful events.
The spot, “Marathon,” features a Spanish-speaking man cheering on his wife as she runs a marathon. His daughter appears alongside him, while his in-laws have joined the moment via FaceTime. However, just as his wife runs by, attempting to wave to her own mother via FaceTime, their cellular network loses service. Moments later, Thomas Middleditch, Verizon’s spokesperson of HBO’s “Silicon Valley fame,” swoops in alongside Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Mendez, who the brand has billed as “Thomas but in español,” to save the day. The duo provides the family with a new phone that connects to Verizon Unlimited, allowing the moment to carry on without another hitch.
