The multichannel initiative, created for the DWP by M&C Saatchi UK, encourages younger generations to prompt their parents to check their eligibility for Pension Credit, a benefit that could provide oldsters with a sizeable income boost.

Nicely acted and directed with subtle humour by Tony Barry through Knucklehead, the campaign’s hero film, Credit where credit’s due, captures the lifelong support parents give their kids – from messy tots to terrible teens.

It’s estimated that there are up to 760,000 households in the UK entitled to, but not claiming, Pension Credit, a benefit that could provide pensioners with an extra average income of more than £3,900 annually.
