The essential guide to the shots Awards The Americas 'Live' event
It's almost time. Today sees the shots Awards The Americas 'live' broadcast hit a screen near you. But, to fully appreciate this #shotsHomemade broadcast, here are five key things we suggest to get the most out of the event...
1. Get dressed up?
We'll drink to that!
We want people to celebrate with us, so we are dressing for the occasion and we hope you will too. If you do, please share it with us on our Twitter and Instagram pages using the hashtags #shotsAwards #shotsHomemade. Then, at the end of the streamed show, the shots team will pick a winner who will receive the finest magnum of Champagne that Amazon is able to muster, in the quickest time in which Amazon can muster it.
2. Get comfortable
One of the main benefits of #shotsHomemade is that there is an unlimited free bar (assuming you've done the shopping). So, stock up on your beverage of choice, find the most comfortable seat in the house and wait for the potential chaos show to begin.
3. Get involved
Whether you're on the shortlist or not, we want to see you, and with the absence of a physical stage, social media will be the virtual stand-in! Keep the Twitter and Instagram feeds open during the awards stream and share your pictures, videos, comments and, if you fancy being ‘on brand’, pop on a shots Awards logo.
4. Homemade shots Awards trophy
For the #shotsHomemade version of the Awards, everyone gets a make-at-home trophy to celebrate this stay-at-home event. There are two sizes, large and small, to download, print and assemble. If you're a shots Awards winner on the night then it can act as your temporary trophy until we can get the real thing to you.
Download your trophy here and share your efforts with us on Twitter and Instagram #shotsAwards #shotsHomemade
5. The benefits of doing it at home
And there definitely are some.
For a start, everyone’s invited, so share the link with friends, family, colleagues, housemates. That way everyone gets the chance to celebrate the genius on show, just like in our The Boat promo [below]. You can even multi-screen with (yet another) Zoom call with the team, so you can watch the stream together.
However you decide to watch, enjoy the show.
The shots Awards The Americas 2020 'Live' show will be streamed via this link on Friday May 15 at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT/11pm BST
