With lush, layered backgrounds, bright colors, and fun animation, Bear Meets Eagle on Fire has developed a charming ad that shows need without specifics.
Large blue raccoon-like creatures are woken from their nap as a group of school kids run across their field. Equipped with jet packs, most of the class takes off, but one young boy is left grounded. The bluebottle beasties use their phone to transfer some juice to the kid’s pack, and he looks over, grinning, just as he takes to the air.
With expressive animation and a Ghibli-esque sense of wonder and landscape, Donate your Data is a very sweet, escapist ad. Directed by Louis Clinchy and Guillaume Dousse, the empathy and kindness the ad asks for comes through in the design and movement of the characters.
