Steering well clear of soulless car commercial clichés, this characterful campaign, created by Voltage through CZAR for Vokeswagen, portrays how the brand is defined by the lives of the people who drive it.
Through playful and sentimental shots, director Joe Vanhoutteghem subtly paints an authentic portrait of an array of VW owners without ever showing their faces.
Instead, the film spotlights cars and campers parked in the peaceful aftermath of memorable and messy life moments, thoughtfully paired with Dinah Washington’s reflective track What a Difference a Day Makes.
