Acting as a follow up from NSPCC’s Childhood Day 2022 spot, released earlier this year, Abuse Can Stop With A Call shows the more sinister reality of why the charity’s work, and Childhood Day on 10th June, are both so crucial.

Directed by UNIT9 Films directors Luke & Joseph for Open, the film is set in a home that feels cosy and familiar. The use of this setting emphasises the horrendous nature of the soundscape that accompanies the visuals, making it all the more powerful.

Sounds of abuse are heard through the wall from the house next door, which are direct and visceral. It immerses the viewer in the situation and highlights the importance of the NSPCC as a light at the end of the tunnel.
