Director Michael Gupta helms a poignant cinematic promo for Late For Love by the Australian band Winter Swim.
Produced by Photoplay, the film depicts a sad story of sacrifice and strength and the unconditional force of a mother’s love. The second collaboration between Gupta and Winter Swim, the first being Easy, this project once again saw the director have full creative license to explore a story about family, while connecting with the subtle tone and tempo of the track.
Gupta commented: “When it came to Late For Love, we knew we wanted to continue exploring a parent/child relationship that was complicated and fraught. The track gave us endless fuel and it kind of led us on a path to develop a narrative that was layered, unexpected and ultimately complex."
